Daves Tribute to Gliese 581g...
Dave here with an original piece written for a backing track I found. Dedicated to the possibly earth like planet Gliese 581g. I'm playing my Fender American Vintage 70's series strat . I just had Dimarzio Paul Gilbert Injector pickups installed...Neck and bridge. In the middle is Dimarzio Area 67. This is Paul Gilberts current pickup layout. I love the it way sounds! Thanks to Joe Jr. at Connectiut Music for the installation and setup. You ROCK! Filmed in Wilton Ct at Area 52

I used a Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah wah pedal, a Jim Dunlop Jazz 3 pick, my Digitech 2120 guitar processor, a Mesa Boogie 20 watt per channel stereo power amp through 2 Marshall 4x12's in stereo....This clip was ready to be recorded over a month ago but the high heat and humidity here made it torture to sit and play for more than a few minutes. I finally just had to do it but I was sweating bullets as you can see! Please enjoy this clip and tell friends about it if you like it! Filmed in Wilton Ct at Area 52...

This is a new song I'm working on called Frozen Soul, all done with the Wampler SLOstortion for the guitar parts. Signal chain is:
Jaden Rose S2 7-string (DiMarzio Tone Zone 7 / Air Norton 7) - Wampler SLOstortion - Silverblade Hellhound clean channel - Zilla 2x12" (V30 / K100) - SM57 - Presonus 22 VSL.
As usual, no post-eq was done on the guitar parts, and the only post-production other than setting levels was the addition of analog delay emulations to the melody / lead tracks.

Greetings! Dave here with one last clip for 2008! This is a little piece I made up after finding the backing track on the WWW...I call it The light at the end of the tunnel... It's been a crappy year for the most part...gas prices, the stock market, the economy in general, and a personal revelation that things can change at anytime...this track just sort of "spoke" to me to come up with something uplifting. This backing track gave me a lot of problems early on and I had no idea what to do with it until one night in mid January when it came to me. Then the piece wrote itself...I hope you enjoy it as much as I do playing it! The backing sounds similar to the Def Leppard song Love Bites although I'm not a huge fan of the band.
