Daves Melodic Rock original piece to a backing track-Light at the end of the tunnel

Daves Melodic Rock original piece to a backing track-Light at the end of the tunnel

Greetings! Dave here with one last clip for 2008! This is a little piece I made up after finding the backing track on the WWW...I call it The light at the end of the tunnel... It's been a crappy year for the most part...gas prices, the stock market, the economy in general, and a personal revelation that things can change at anytime...this track just sort of "spoke" to me to come up with something uplifting. I get a really good feeling playing it for some reason..its my light at the end of the tunnel so to speak...I hope you enjoy it!Also, for those who wish to know...This is my setup... I play through a Digitech 2120 guitar processor...It's powered by a 50 watt Mesa Boogie stereo power amp... It all goes through 2 Marshall 4x12 cabinets in stereo... Daves original Instrumental piece to the Sad Melody backing track

Daves original Instrumental piece to the Sad Melody backing track

Dave here with another clip. This backing track is called Sad Melody. I came up with the lines you hear me playing. I used the Jackson Soloist for this because I wanted the use of the Floyd Rose bar for accents. I may do this track again using a Les Paul just for the hell of it. I was under the gun to get this up as i've been crazy at work and just to tired to play late at nite (which is when I record my clips)...I think I could have done it better given more time and relaxed circumstances...anyway for better or worse this my last clip for 2009...more to come in 2010~ Also check out my buddy Popstotexas here on YouTube...listen to his killer take on this backing track as a Tribute to the Great Les Paul who we sadly lost earlier this year....It's a killer! Also, for those who wish to know...This is my setup... I play through a Digitech 2120 guitar processor...It's powered by a 50 watt Mesa Boogie stereo power amp... It all goes through 2 Marshall 4x12 cabinets in stereo... Daves 1959 Les Paul reissue Composition to a backing track called Reflections

Dave here with an original piece for the backing track called Reflections. I played it with my Gibson 1959 re-issue Les Paul. I used a Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah wah pedal, a Jim Dunlop Jazz 3 pick, my Digitech 2120 guitar processor, a Mesa Boogie 20 watt per channel stereo power amp through 2 Marshall 4x12's in stereo....This clip was ready to be recorded over a month ago but the high heat and humidity here made it torture to sit and play for more than a few minutes. Tommy Ermolli: Guitar Day 6 Milan #3

Tommy Ermolli: Guitar Day 6 Milan #3

Tommy Ermolli is a great melodic rock player and certainly knows how to write a catchy tune. Check the 2010 album from the Italian Melodic Rock outfit Prime Suspect. Formed by Daniele Liverani, Tommy Ermolli and Dario Ciccioni, the band came to the attention of the Melodic Rock crowd on their releases as Khymera. Liverani, the most experienced musician of the lot, had a long career in the Italian Rock scene releasing albums with the Prog Metal group Empty Tremor. Since Khymera's last two albums saw the bulk of the songwriting from the brothers Tom and James Martin, Liverani started to put together some Melodic Rock tracks which could live on the quality of arrangement and performance of the previous releases. Frontiers Records.

Jonathan Kreisberg: Shadowless

Jonathan Kreisberg: Shadowless: Jonathan Kreisberg (guitar); Will Vinson (sax); Henry Hey (piano); Matt Penman (bass); Mark Ferber (drums)

?Shadowless? is the exciting new disc from Guitarist / Composer Jonathan Kreisberg. It features Jonathan's touring band, members Will Vinson on Saxophone, Henry Hey on piano, Matt Penman on bass, and Mark Ferber on drums in several different combinations. Their respect for the tradition is deep, but the compositions stretch the possibilities of form and the sounds challenge the possibilities of the "acoustic" jazz group. The disc presents a group that has electrified audiences on 5 continents, taking it?s many listeners on rhythmically deep and lyrically compelling journey. As a guitarist, Jonathan Kreisberg has been steadily building his name as the one of the instruments brightest young stars. He tours and records extensively with his own groups as well artists such as Dr. Lonnie Smith, Joe Locke, Ari Hoenig and Stefano Dibattista. order

I also sometimes use a Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah Wah pedal... I Play and love D'Addario XL guitar strings, the gauge is 10 through 46 (EXL110),,, I also use and LOVE V-Picks guitar picks...I use the "small pointed Lite" model.... Thats my story, and i'm sticken' to it...

Death- Spirit Crusher (guitar cover with solos)

SUBSCRIBE OR DIE! Spirit Crusher. Do I need to say any more? Sorry for the minor tweaks and what not. Pretty tough song, timing-wise, Im way too used to 4/4. Im proud of myself, I figured this song out by ear!
