Daves original Instrumental piece to the Sad Melody backing track

Daves original Instrumental piece to the Sad Melody backing track

Dave here with another clip. This backing track is called Sad Melody. I came up with the lines you hear me playing. I used the Jackson Soloist for this because I wanted the use of the Floyd Rose bar for accents. I may do this track again using a Les Paul just for the hell of it. I was under the gun to get this up as i've been crazy at work and just to tired to play late at nite (which is when I record my clips)...I think I could have done it better given more time and relaxed circumstances...anyway for better or worse this my last clip for 2009...more to come in 2010~ Also check out my buddy Popstotexas here on YouTube...listen to his killer take on this backing track as a Tribute to the Great Les Paul who we sadly lost earlier this year....It's a killer! Also, for those who wish to know...This is my setup... I play through a Digitech 2120 guitar processor...It's powered by a 50 watt Mesa Boogie stereo power amp... It all goes through 2 Marshall 4x12 cabinets in stereo... I also sometimes use a Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah Wah pedal... I Play and love D'Addario XL guitar strings, the gauge is 10 through 46 (EXL110),,, I also use and LOVE V-Picks guitar picks...I use the "small pointed Lite" model.... Thats my story, and i'm sticken' to it...

Muris Varajic, Emir Hot: Live4Guitar market place - flight of the bumble bee

Muris Varajic, Emir Hot were just two of the players at The Gunnersbury Chiswick in London. The show was a presentation of the new guitar lesson market place market.live4guitar.com where players can now either contribute lessons and earn some revenue or consume lessons prepared by others. This is a great idea for those more talented to gain some revenue from their not inconsiderable skills. The bonus is the person learning is not stuck with a subscription model that they might not be able to afford. But can purchase specific lessons for easy to advanced. Ziua Chitarelor www.facebook.com was my first chance to see Dave ripping it up live. I think Dave Martone might have stumbled onto something with these clinics, will he be the first shred comedian? Ask him the meaning of his name in China and Romania and you'll be regaled with a suitable anecdote. The clinic presentation is littered with genuinely funny expressions and quips aided by his trust powerpoint loaded with funny sound snippets. It's no wonder that Joe Satriani has picked up Dave Martone for his tour of the US!!! Visit. It's clear also after the show that Dave is a real down to earth guy and great company. Jennifer Batten: ZC3 Michael Jackson Tribute

Jennifer Batten: ZC3 Michael Jackson Tribute

Ziua Chitarelor www.facebook.com was my first chance to see Jennifer Batten live. In this special video Jennifer Batten made special tribute to Michael Jackson, playing a compilation of the solos from Michael's songs in Jennifer's own unique style. The crowd were highly enthusiastic and deeply appreciative of this gesture. The video does not include the onscreen back projections produced by Jennifer to go along with the show... for that you'll need to go along to one of her shows. I think I would describe Jennifer as a guitar artist, painting with music and media. Her two handed approach along with chain of effects enables her to conjure up swathes of colour and texture, emotion and grace. I would certainly recommend checking out Jennifer's live show, particularly with the media back projections. Main web site: jenniferbatten.com and online shop www.batten.com You can get a selection of Jennifer's releases: astore.amazon.com

Daves 80's Something Rock ballad jam...Featuring my 2000 Gibson 1959 re-issue Les paul

Daves 80's Something Rock ballad jam...Featuring my 2000 Gibson 1959 re-issue Les paul

Hey people! Time for one last clip in 2007! 08 is gonna be GREAT! Happy New Year to everyone! This backing track was called 80something from guitarbt dot com...it reminded me of a Whitesnake type ballad...i came up with everthing you hear me playing. the track was very inspirational. i wanted to record and get this up for x-mas but my work schedule, a painful callus while rehearsing it, and then a paper cut on my index finger stopped me...so, i says, ok, i'll do it before new years. then i catch a wicked cold...i recorded it feeling rather miserable and feel i could have done it better but i wanted it up be the end of 07...so, for better or worse, this is my last offering for 2007...Enjoy!Also, for those who wish to know...This is my setup... Daves Melodic Rock original piece to a backing track-Light at the end of the tunnel

Daves Melodic Rock original piece to a backing track-Light at the end of the tunnel

Greetings! Dave here with one last clip for 2008! This is a little piece I made up after finding the backing track on the WWW...I call it The light at the end of the tunnel... It's been a crappy year for the most part...gas prices, the stock market, the economy in general, and a personal revelation that things can change at anytime...this track just sort of "spoke" to me to come up with something uplifting. I get a really good feeling playing it for some reason..its my light at the end of the tunnel so to speak...I hope you enjoy it!Also, for those who wish to know...This is my setup...

Jennifer Batten: ZC3 clinician demo #1

Jennifer Batten: ZC3 clinician demo #1

Ziua Chitarelor www.facebook.com was my first chance to see Jennifer Batten live.
