Creation Audio Labs Redeemer
Hey folks….just wanted to share a little project I had on my bench yesterday in my 300guitars Shop. A great local player, Anthony Rufo, brought me his Ibanez Strat to have a Creation Audio Labs “Redeemer” buffer installed. According to their website it was designed to “eliminate tone loss caused by the interaction of instrument [...]

Frank Gambale, Alain Caron Frankfurt Musikmesse 2010 #2
Frank Gambale, Alain Caron Frankfurt Musikmesse 2010 playing in a glass box! The band were situated at the back of the main hall. I'm sure there was some logic to putting so much musical fire power into a small glass box... but I 'm not sure what it is... in reality I think it was an attempt to allow the guys to play without any issues around volume levels in the rest of the hall. Apologies for the strange lighting effects that occur as a result. Frank Gambale, Alain Caron are just amazing players and I could watch them play forever!

Fabrizio Chiruzzi: a little improvisation while testing a new pedal
Fabrizio Chiruzzi "Finally, a cleaner sound and robust thanks to a new pedaletto. now I am with guitars - decimator - TS9 - xotic BB preamp - cry baby - Engl on clean channel - TC G Force Peavey Kosmos Pro and the sound seems more crisp on the clean channel also because they feel better both harmonic bass notes. For now, though it may be fine for most songs it takes to force a hard distortion." www.facebook.com

Daves 80's Something Rock ballad jam...Featuring my 2000 Gibson 1959 re-issue Les paul
Hey people! Time for one last clip in 2007! 08 is gonna be GREAT! Happy New Year to everyone! This backing track was called 80something from guitarbt dot com...it reminded me of a Whitesnake type ballad...i came up with everthing you hear me playing. the track was very inspirational. i wanted to record and get this up for x-mas but my work schedule, a painful callus while rehearsing it, and then a paper cut on my index finger stopped me...so, i says, ok, i'll do it before new years. then i catch a wicked cold...i recorded it feeling rather miserable and feel i could have done it better but i wanted it up be the end of 07...so, for better or worse, this is my last offering for 2007...Enjoy!Also, for those who wish to know...This is my setup... I play through a Digitech 2120 guitar processor...It's powered by a 50 watt Mesa Boogie stereo power amp... It all goes through 2 Marshall 4x12 cabinets in stereo... i also sometimes use a Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah Wah pedal... Muris Varajic, Emir Hot: Live4Guitar market place - flight of the bumble bee
Muris Varajic, Emir Hot were just two of the players at The Gunnersbury Chiswick in London. The show was a presentation of the new guitar lesson market place market.live4guitar.com where players can now either contribute lessons and earn some revenue or consume lessons prepared by others. This is a great idea for those more talented to gain some revenue from their not inconsiderable skills. The bonus is the person learning is not stuck with a subscription model that they might not be able to afford. But can purchase specific lessons for easy to advanced. Check out the sample lessons from: Andreia Gomez: market.live4guitar.com Alexander Sukovic: market.live4guitar.com All Tutors: market.live4guitar.com Other instructors include Emir Hot, Damjan Pejcinovski, Muris Varajic, Dragianni

Daves Melodic Rock original piece to a backing track-Light at the end of the tunnel
Greetings! Dave here with one last clip for 2008! This is a little piece I made up after finding the backing track on the WWW...I call it The light at the end of the tunnel... It's been a crappy year for the most part...gas prices, the stock market, the economy in general, and a personal revelation that things can change at anytime...this track just sort of "spoke" to me to come up with something uplifting. I get a really good feeling playing it for some reason..its my light at the end of the tunnel so to speak...I hope you enjoy it!Also, for those who wish to know...This is my setup... I play through a Digitech 2120 guitar processor...It's powered by a 50 watt Mesa Boogie stereo power amp... It all goes through 2 Marshall 4x12 cabinets in stereo... Amplifier Housekeeping 101
Check out the inside of this old Ampeg Reverberocket. Looks like it was with our troops in Afghanistan. So much dirt, dust and crud it’s a wonder it actually works. This amp needs a really good cleaning and some routine maintenance. The question is how did the owner(s) over the years let it get so [...]

Daves original Instrumental piece to the Sad Melody backing track
Daves original Instrumental piece to the Sad Melody backing track
Dave here with another clip. This backing track is called Sad Melody. I came up with the lines you hear me playing. I used the Jackson Soloist for this because I wanted the use of the Floyd Rose bar for accents. I may do this track again using a Les Paul just for the hell of it. I was under the gun to get this up as i've been crazy at work and just to tired to play late at nite (which is when I record my clips)...I think I could have done it better given more time and relaxed circumstances...anyway for better or worse this my last clip for 2009...more to come in 2010~ Also check out my buddy Popstotexas here on YouTube...listen to his killer take on this backing track as a Tribute to the Great Les Paul who we sadly lost earlier this year....It's a killer! Also, for those who wish to know...This is my setup... I Play and love D'Addario XL guitar strings, the gauge is 10 through 46 (EXL110),,, I also use and LOVE V-Picks guitar picks...I use the "small pointed Lite" model.... Thats my story, and i'm sticken' to it...

Dave Martone: ZC3 clinician demo #2
Ziua Chitarelor www.facebook.com was my first chance to see Dave ripping it up live. I think Dave Martone might have stumbled onto something with these clinics, will he be the first shred comedian? Ask him the meaning of his name in China and Romania and you'll be regaled with a suitable anecdote. The clinic presentation is littered with genuinely funny expressions and quips aided by his trust powerpoint loaded with funny sound snippets. It's no wonder that Joe Satriani has picked up Dave Martone for his tour of the US!!! Visit. It's clear also after the show that Dave is a real down to earth guy and great company. So if you get a chance to see him with Joe, prepare for some humour and some damn hot guitar. Dave at www.davemartone.com You can also pick up Dave's music: astore.amazon.com

Daves Pink Floyd Style Jam-Think Pink-with my American Vintage 70's series strat...
Greetings! Dave here again with another Pink Floyd Stlyle jam... This clip features my new Fender American Vintage 70's Series Strat... Recorded on a first take after a couple of Single Malt Scotch's and a Belvedere vodka on the rocks, lol... What the hell....its rock n roll no? You bet your ass it is!Also, for those who wish to know...This is my setup... I Play and love D'Addario XL guitar strings, the gauge is 10 through 46 (EXL110),,, I also use and LOVE V-Picks guitar picks...i use the "small pointed Lite" model.... Thats my story, and i'm sticken' to it...

Jennifer Batten: ZC3 Michael Jackson Tribute
Jennifer Batten: ZC3 Michael Jackson Tribute
Ziua Chitarelor www.facebook.com was my first chance to see Jennifer Batten live. In this special video Jennifer Batten made special tribute to Michael Jackson, playing a compilation of the solos from Michael's songs in Jennifer's own unique style. The crowd were highly enthusiastic and deeply appreciative of this gesture. The video does not include the onscreen back projections produced by Jennifer to go along with the show... for that you'll need to go along to one of her shows. I think I would describe Jennifer as a guitar artist, painting with music and media. Her two handed approach along with chain of effects enables her to conjure up swathes of colour and texture, emotion and grace. I would certainly recommend checking out Jennifer's live show, particularly with the media back projections. Main web site: jenniferbatten.com and online shop www.batten.com You can get a selection of Jennifer's releases: astore.amazon.com

I also sometimes use a Steve Vai Bad Horsie Wah Wah pedal... Jennifer Batten: ZC3 clinician demo #1
Jennifer Batten: ZC3 clinician demo #1
Ziua Chitarelor www.facebook.com was my first chance to see Jennifer Batten live.

I play through a Digitech 2120 guitar processor...It's powered by a 50 watt Mesa Boogie stereo power amp... It all goes through 2 Marshall 4x12 cabinets in stereo...

When Guglielmo Malusardi [the Shred Baron] invited me [the Shred Admiral] to Milan, I was delighted to accept. Guglielmo had compared ZC3 show in Bucarest a few weeks earlier. This was Milan's 6th guitar day and it featured loads of great Italian guitar players and Michael Angelo Batio. The full list Michael Angelo Batio, Angels & Demons (Alex Stornello), Daniele Gottardo, Luciano Zadro, Andrea Martongelli, Daniele Gregolin, Tommy Ermolli, Gianluca Ferro e Ignazio Di Salvo At the end of the evening the players got up on stage and jammed this classic track, Little Wing by Jimi Hendrix. Daniele and Michael had a trade off solo section which was great fun! After the gig, I was lucky enough to get a free guitar lesson with Daniele Gottardo... although to me the scalloped neck and strings felt more like chopping board and cheese wire! I think Daniele must have laughed his socks off at my poor attempt at two handed tapping! A little later on I talked with the very likeable Michael Angelo Batio. His clinic show is chock full of humour and his trade mark lightening fast alternate picking! I was also able to have a go at holding the famous double neck!
